The pack was actually created off of a book I wrote when I was pretty young, probably in grade 5 or 6. The story was hand written, I still have it kicking around and it never got completely finished. It was almost completed by the time I lost interest and abandoned it, but I know exactly how it ends and one day it will be rewritten and published.
The story takes place on Snow Powder Mountain, the main character taking on a wolf called Snow Powder who was a lone wolf and owned the Mountain to herself. Multiple times, invader wolves tried to drive her out of her own territory but Snow Powder always drove them off first because of her vicious, heartless, strong willed, and brutal character.
One day a strong wolf named Forest enters her territory and wants to be mates with her. Snow Powder tries to drive him out only to have him drive her off her own mountain since he's much stronger than she. After that Snow Powder makes many attempts to win her mountain home back from the intruder.
One day on the day of her well planned ambush attack, a storm rages and a tree falls and crushes Snow Powder under it's branches. Trapped, coyotes attack her and she wards them off but to no avail. Forest comes to the rescue and chases them away, then helps dig her out of the tree and saves her life. After that he pretty much forces her to be his mate. It takes a long time to get his mate under control but eventually they have pups together.
A couple of the pups die while Snow Powder tries to save them., mostly from natural predators such as eagles and cougars. But one day a bigger threat approaches the wolf family.
Man has discovered white gold on the peak of Snow Powder Mountain, a valuable ore. They start up into mining, building chairlifts as their only means of transportation back then, shipping the ore down to the trucks that awaited below.
At first it doesn't effect Snow Powder's family much. Snow Powder's curiosity of the humans endangers her but the real threat doesn't actually happen until later.
After the Mountain became famous world wide for it's white gold, the mountain is transformed into a tourist section and business boomed. the wolves are constantly caught up in human activity and try to drive the evaders out of their home.
Eventually the industry boom is cut short as the white gold runs out and the mining stops. However tourism continues to rage, as people are now visiting Mount Snow Powder for skiing and leisure purposes rather than the mine tourist attraction now. Snow Powder constantly kills whoever she crosses and as a result the leaders of the business have no choice left but to kill the wolf family to ensure safety.
One day Snow Powder returns from hunting to her den only to find it riddled with blood and the bodies of her family gone. They had been killed and dragged away. Enraged, Snow Powder goes on a killing spree and purposefully hunts down the humans. In response they send helicopters, snowmobiles and other motives at trying to catch her alive.
She outsmarts them all.
Eventually they catch her and drag her into court because one man stood up for her, since she somehow managed to save his life, even if accidently from plummeting down a steep rocky cliff. He tries to unify wolves and humans.
Eventually after a lot of argumentation, his side is won and they devote a part of the mountain to a reserve and set Powder free. Over time every wolf that wonders onto the Mountain is put into the reserve. Powder forms a strong and united pack. This has become the Ski Reserve where wolves and humans live side by side in unity.

Many things have changed from the story to the actual pack.
1. Snow Powder in the story is a vicious and brutal wolf with little room in her heart for anyone. She enjoys her individuality.
1.In the pack, Snow Powder seems very much the opposite, she's loving and caring and patient with every pack member she comes across and she welcomes all.
2. The time difference. the story takes place with man moving in and wolves and humans living side by side
2. In the actual pack, man has abandoned the mountain and it's free once again for wolves to roam on wildly. This therefore probably takes place further into the future when the business goes bankrupt or something like that.
